Winter Thaw

It is always in January that we get a thaw, usally around the 15th. I guess it is a little eary this year, but it could not be more welcome. I know all of us welcoming this thaw will soon curse it because with a thaw comes the mess of water and mud. Never-the-less, I am happy the temps are warmer and my fingertips will not freeze during my morning chores.
